Come and Take It Radio 6/7/09 Show

Today we started our show talking about the new ABC propaganda piece "Earth 2100". We tried to play the audio clip of a trailer for the show but according to some listeners it was barely audible so you can find it here - http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=7741458

This also took us to NASA acknowledging the Solor Cycle, not man, responsible for past warming.

"Some researchers believe that the solar cycle influences global climate changes. They attribute recent warming trends to cyclic variation. Skeptics, though, argue that there's little hard evidence of a solar hand in recent climate changes."

You can find the entire article here - http://www.dailytech.com/NASA%20Study%20Acknowledges%20Solar%20Cycle%20Not%20Man%20Responsible%20for%20Past%20Warming/article15310.htm

Suprisingly we spent the first hour of the show on various global warming, green, save the earth commentary - as both of us think this "Green Revolution" is going to be another way to tax us. We were on the "green" bandwagon WAY before all this came around and its a bit annoying now.

In Hour 2 of the program, we went back to our major topic of last week's show, Judge Sonia Sotomayor. Evidently she is a member of the female version of Bohemian Grove. Coming to us from Politico.com, 'Sotomayor found friends in elite group'.

Belizean Grove is an elite but little-known women's-only group.

The group — which on its website describes itself as “a constellation of influential women who are key decision makers in the profit, nonprofit and social sectors; who build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships in order to both take charge of their own destinies and help others to do the same” — hosts periodic meetings around New York, as well as an annual off-the-record three-day retreat in Central or South America at which its members attend cocktail parties with U.S. diplomats and host-country officials and participate in panel discussions on public policy and business affairs.

If you are unfamiliar with Bohemian Grove, here's a great video by Alex Jones.

We also mentioned the failing anti-gun strategy of the Obama Administration through the Congress, so now they are trying to stack the Courts with "liberal anti-gunners" - according to the Citizens Committee to the Right to Keep and Bare Arms. That article can be found here - http://www.ccrkba.org/pub/rkba/press-releases/court.stack.htm

We move to brighter news, like 'Despite Recent Violence, Gun Laws Are Softening' featured on Parade.com. There is also a poll on the article titled "Should states loosen restrictions on guns?" Go to http://www.parade.com/news/intelligence-report/archive/despite-recent-violence-gun-laws-are-softening.html for the article and poll.

According to the article,

'Gun-control advocates argue that weakening laws is disastrous. While it wouldn't necessarily lead to more mass shootings, they say, it would almost certainly increase the number of gun-related murders in the U.S. There are currently more than 11,500 each year, and America has one of the world's highest firearm homicide rates. Per capita, our rate is 39 times greater than that of England, 13 times Australia's, and 6 times Canada's.'

This leads us to an ABC NEWS article claiming a 'River' of U.S. Guns Also Flows North of the Border. According to the article,

"These guns are causing people to die on the streets of Toronto, and they come about because the U.S. gun laws are so lax, and it's very difficult to stop the guns at the border," Toronto Mayor David Miller says.
